Supporting a whole-school approach to formative assessment

While the research evidence supports the idea that formative assessment is one of the most powerful ways of improving student achievement, implementing this across a school is challenging. In this session, Dylan Wiliam will offer a variety of different ways of talking about formative assessment that leaders can use to create a whole-school understanding of formative assessment, and show how building-based teacher-led professional learning communities can support teachers in their development of their practice classroom formative assessment.
